HBO has released a new House of the Dragon trailer. The series will take place 200 years before Game of Thrones

The series premieres on August 21
Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series follows the turbulent story of the Targaryen family under King Viserys I. House of the Dragon is based on the book ‘Fire and Blood’ by George R. R. Martin. It will follow the ‘Dance of the Dragons’, the Targaryen civil war between brothers Aegon II and Rhaenyra as they fight for the throne after the death of their father.
The new trailer gives a glimpse into the volatile world of Westeros, where King Viserys I sits on the iron throne. King Viserys looks to his eldest child, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, as he ponders the heir to the throne. The cast includes Milly Alcock, Eve Best, Emily Carey, Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Ryan Corr, Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith.
Paddy Considine plays King Viserys Targaryen I, a good man struggling to become a great king. Matt Smith plays his younger brother Prince Daemon Targaryen, a warrior of legendary temperament. Emma D’Arcy plays Viserys’ daughter Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the first female ruler in the history of Westeros.
Miguel Sapochnik, the show’s Associate Program Executive Producer, said in a previous statement that the new series will evolve over the course of the season. At the same time, the first show of the series will be on August 21. Ryan Condal, Miguel Sapochnik and Sara Hess are the screenwriters of the production prepared by HBO.
At the same time, House of the Dragon will allegedly cost less than 20 million dollars per episode. The series has also divided viewers. While some viewers think the series will be successful, some viewers do not believe that the series will be successful.
