Xavier, the 18-year-old son of Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, has petitioned the court to change his last name. Xavier said he would take his mother’s surname, saying, “I don’t want to have any connection and relationship with my father.”
Tech billionaire, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk’s son Xavier, from his marriage to his first wife Justine Wilson, decided to change his surname and applied to the court in April. The name change case will be finalized on Friday this week.

Xavier, 18, will take his mother’s surname and change his name to ‘Vivian Jenna Wilson’ to distance himself from his father and sever official ties.

“I no longer want to have any connection or relationship with my biological father,” Xavier said.
Xavier’s name change case will be decided in a California court on Friday.

On the other hand, 50-year-old Musk has five children with his first wife, Canadian writer Wilson. The two have Xavier’s twin Griffin (18) and triplets named Kai, Saxon and Damian (16). Musk, who has been married three times, also has two children with singer Grimes.
