The Texas massacre came in plain sight; He told it all on Facebook

It has emerged that 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, who carried out an armed attack on a primary school in the US state of Texas, killing 21 people, had previously described his plans for the attack on his Facebook account.

The Texas massacre came in plain sight; He told it all on Facebook

Texas Governor Greg Abbott held a press conference about the recent attack on an elementary school in Texas that has about 600 students. Abbott, who made a statement after the meeting, stated that half an hour before the massacre, the attacker Salvador Ramos made three separate posts on social media.

Abbott said Ramos wrote that he would shoot his grandmother first, then shoot her, and finally attack an elementary school.

Ramos reportedly made his third Facebook post just 15 minutes before the shooting. He attacked with a pistol and an AR-15 rifle, killing 19 children between the ages of 7 and 10 who were studying at the school.

It was noted that Ramos did not specify in his messages which school he would carry out an armed attack.

“Yesterday Uvalde was surrounded by evil. Anyone who shoots their grandmother in the face must have evil in their heart,” Abbott said, adding, “But it’s much worse for someone to shoot small children with a gun.”

COLLABORATED

Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said it was revealed that Ramos had sent private, one-on-one messages on Facebook that were discovered after the attack, adding that the company was cooperating with authorities on the attack.

IT WAS LEARNED THAT HE WROTE “I AM ABOUT TO DO IT” ON INSTAGRAM

Ramos reportedly shared a photo of two AR-15 assault weapons he bought last week on his Instagram account and wrote “I’m about to do it” for the photo in which he tagged some people.

‘CHILDREN SHOULD BE AFRAID OF REAL LIFE’

Authorities also reportedly used the phrase “Children should be afraid of real life” on the profile of a TikTok account believed to belong to the attacker.

It is still not known what Ramos’ motivation was in the armed attack in which 19 children and 2 adults lost their lives and 17 people were injured.

NO CRIMINAL RECORD OR SUSPECTED MENTAL ILLNESS

Texas Governor Abbott said there was no record of Ramos, the attacker, having any criminal record or mental illness.

It was stated that Ramos, who was stated to have a lonely and problematic home life, had speech difficulties and that he had been subjected to verbal violence by his friends since childhood.

THE DEADLIEST ARMED ATTACK IN THE US

The AP report also pointed out that the state of Texas has some of the most gun-friendly laws in the country and has been the scene of some of the deadliest shootings in the U.S. in the last 5 years.

The shooting in the Latino town of Uvalde, a town of 16,000 people, is the deadliest school shooting, since the December 2012 attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, in which 20 children and 6 adults were killed.
