Rockets were fired around the Shaddadi military base in Syria’s eastern Hasakah province, where US forces are stationed.
Three rocket attacks were carried out in Deir ez-Zor province around the military base of US forces stationed in the Shaddadi district of Hasakah, from areas where Iranian-backed foreign terrorist groups have a presence.
There were no casualties on the military base in the attacks.
Deir Ezzor province is the scene of mutual attacks
The territory of Deir ez-Zor, east of the Euphrates River, is under the occupation of the US-backed terrorist organization YPG/PKK, while the provincial center and other rural areas are under the control of the Assad regime and Iranian-backed groups.
The areas where U.S. and Iranian-backed terrorist groups have a presence in Deir ez-Zor have been frequently targeted recently.
As a matter of fact, the US-led anti-Daesh coalition said in a written statement on April 9 that 4 US soldiers were wounded in a rocket attack on April 7 on a base where US troops were stationed in eastern Syria.
U.S. Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby said that they do not yet know who carried out the attack, but that it is similar to the attacks of Iranian-backed organizations as in previous attacks.
