Boeing china on Monday launched the first 767-300 Boeing Converted Cargo Aircraft (BCF) production line of Boeing and Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Limited (GAMECO). The 767-300 BCF production line is located at GAMECO’s factory in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, southern China. Boeing China said it was focused on converting the 767-300 passenger aircraft, which are no longer in use, into cargo planes entirely.

Boeing China also said the move is the latest in a series of capacity increases for Boeing’s passenger-to-cargo aircraft conversion programs to help meet strong demand from the market.
The medium wide-body 767-300BCF is designed to serve customers to improve their air cargo business in the long-haul, regional and distribution markets.
More than 100 orders and commitments have been received for the aircraft worldwide so far. The new line is also the first of two 767-300BCF lines boeing plans to launch this year in Guangzhou, along with GAMECO, which operates three production lines to convert the 737-800 cargo plane.
