The testing phase for Android 13, which we expect to be released later this year, is ongoing. Thanks to the beta process, which Google calls Developer Preview, developers are integrating their apps into the new version. As this integration process continues, we are partially aware of what’s new in the final version of Android 13. Another feature has appeared with the new Developer Preview update just released.

Android 13 improves profile feature
If you’ve experienced a Google Pixel, you may have noticed the profile feature. It is not necessary to use Pixel, some interfaces also have profile feature. This time, however, they are being taken further. The feature, which until now has been in the corner of phone settings and is not used much, gains extra functionality with Android 13.

With the latest preview version of Android 13, a profile change button was added to the notification bar. If more than one person is using the device, one click can switch between profiles. While we don’t think this is much of a choice on smartphones, your hand can often go there on commonly used tablets.

It is worth adding that although this feature has arrived, it is turned off by default. If you’re one of the installers of Developer Preview, you’ll need to activate this feature in the developer settings.

When Android 13 is fully released, there will probably be no need to enter developer settings. This button will appear on devices with more than one profile.

Have you experienced the profile feature on your device before? Would you consider experiencing it after the new update? You can share your ideas in the comments.
