Lavrov: Any shipment carrying weapons to Ukraine will be a legitimate military target for Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said any arms shipments from abroad to Ukraine would “constitute a legitimate military target for Russia.”

Lavrov said in an interview with Russia Today (RT) that his country no longer has any illusions about dependence on the West and will never accept the vision of a US-dominated world that wants to act as a global policeman.

The United States is trying to turn the world into a unipolar model, Lavrov said, stressing that Europe has stopped defending its independence from the United States.

The Russian minister also mentioned unprecedented sanctions against his country, saying they would adapt to the new reality.

“We have found evidence that Ukraine is preparing for an all-out attack on the donetsk and lugansk republics following its failure to implement the Minsk agreements. We do not rule out the possibility of Ukraine creating its biggest project in the development of biological laboratories (Pentagon).”

Moscow “insists on discussing the situation of biological laboratories in Ukraine at the United Nations Security Council,” he stressed.

Kiev understands that US President Joe Biden will not allow a no-fly zone over Ukraine and therefore relies on less responsible politicians, Lavrov said, accusing the West of “waging a media war against Russia and turning Ukraya into an anti-Russian country.”

Noting that these efforts have an impact on Ukrainians, Lavrov said some time is needed to recover from the negative legacy of Western influence over Ukraine
