U.S. plan to turn Ukraine crisis into opportunity

The United States plans to send warships, planes and 50,000 troops to Eastern European countries, taking advantage of the Russia-Ukraine crisis and the turmoti of Europe. Washington, which currently has 4,000 troops in Poland, will further increase tensions in the region.

In recent years, the United States has been preparing to maximize its policy of strengthening its military and defense relationship with countries in the region from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean, turning the Ukraine crisis into an opportunity.

Washington also plans to deploy troops to Eastern European countries that are also members of the European Union, taking advantage of the scattered appearance of European powers such as France and Germany against Russia. The New York Times reported that US President Biden plans to send thousands of troops, warships and planes to Eastern Europe.

That number could rise to 50,000, the report said. Biden is expected to make a decision later this week. There are concerns that the decision to deploy troops will increase current tensions with Russia.

CAN GO UP TO 50

Biden plans to send between 1,000 and 5,000 troops to Eastern European countries, and is likely to increase the number tenfold to 50,000 if tensions rise further, the report said.

A senior official reached by the newspaper did not confirm these numbers but confirmed the existence of the plan, saying ‘we are developing plans and are consulting with allies to identify options going forward’. As is known, the list of demands submitted by Russia in December called for the withdrawal of NATO and US forces in Eastern Europe.

TO EASTERN KANADI COUNTRIES

Pentagon officials presented Biden with several options during a meeting at Camp David over the weekend, but those options included no sending troops to Ukraine. Biden plans to send troops to countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Romania, which also make up NATO’s Eastern flank, the report said.

It was also noted that the PRESIDENT of the United States could send additional air power if necessary. It is known that there are currently 4,000 US and 1,000 NATO troops in Poland.

WEAPONS SHIPMENT TO KIEV CONTINUES

Washington does not send troops to Ukraine, but continues to deliver weapons. The United States sent weapons back to Kiev after a shipment of 90 tons of lethal weapons the previous day.

“The second bird is also in Kiev! More than 80 tons of weapons have come from our friends in the United States to boost Ukraine’s defense capabilities, and this is not the last shipment.”

NATO IS ALSO SENDING ADDITIONAL FORCES

In other news, NATO said member states will send additional warships and warplanes to allies in Eastern Europe and have their forces ready. Russia has fortified the alliance’s deterrence and defense as it increases its military buildup in and around Ukraine, the statement said. According to NATO, Denmark is sending a frigate to the Baltic Sea and is preparing to send four F-16 aircraft to Lithuania to support NATO’s air patrols in the region. Spain plans to send warplanes to Bulgaria, as well as warships to join NATO’s naval forces.

Evacuation order from US and UK

The United States and Britain have ordered the departure of staff at the Embassies in Kiev, Ukraine, in case of possible Russian interference. “Security conditions in eastern Ukraine, especially along the borders of Ukraine, are unpredictable and may deteriorate at any time,” the US State Department said in a statement. The British Foreign Office also announced that it had ‘chosen to temporarily withdraw some staff and dependents from Kiev’.
