Dream Games received a new investment of $255 million and became one of the world’s most valuable mobile gaming companies with a valuation of $2.75 billion.
Dream Games, founded in Istanbul in 2019 and popular with its game Royal Match, became one of the most valuable and invested mobile gaming companies in the world in as little as two years. Dream Games, which became Turkey’s third unicorn by reaching a valuation of $1 billion with its investment in June last year, received a new investment of $255 million and reached a valuation of $2.75 billion.
Thus, Dream Games managed to nearly triple its value in as little as six months. Founded in 2019, the Istanbul-based mobile gaming company has received a total investment of $468 million to date.
Turkey’s fastest unicorn receives $255 million investment
Index Ventures led the Series C round, the company’s third investment round in a year. Major funds such as Makers Fund, BlackRock, IVP, Kora and Balderton Capital also participated in the investment round.

Stephane Kurgan, partner at Index Ventures, which is leading the company’s third investment round, said dream games’ first game, Royal Match, had exceeded all expectations with its success. “Royal Match became one of the most played mobile games of 2021 in eight months. Thanks to the creative talents it has acquired, the engineering expertise it has developed and the exemplary work ethic it has demonstrated, Dream Games has become one of the best companies in the industry. They have already changed norms that are seen as perfection in the mobile gaming space. We can’t wait to see where they reach next.”
The game that drove millions: Royal Match
Royal Match, the first game of Dream Games, has reached millions of people from all countries and all age groups worldwide since its launch. Royal Match, one of the highest-grossing mobile games in the world in 2021, has become one of the top 10 mobile games in the US, UK and other major markets.
Next up is the new game
Dream Games plans to begin development of a new game in 2022. The company, which has a team of 80 people in its offices in Istanbul, aims to hire 120 more people in 2022.
