New York Attorney General Letita James will reportedly summon former US President Donald Trump to appear in court to testify in the corruption investigation.
According to the news of the New York Times, citing two officials, Attorney General Letita James will summon Trump to the court to give an affidavit on January 7 as part of the corruption investigation.

In the news, which stated that the investigation was aimed at Trump’s business and companies, it was stated that Attorney General James could file a lawsuit against Trump if he found evidence of corruption.
The report states that Trump can refuse the New York Attorney General’s request to testify within the scope of his constitutional rights.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office, meanwhile, is conducting a criminal investigation into whether Trump overestimated the value of his properties.
