US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price answered questions about US-China relations and the latest situation in Xinjiang at the daily press briefing.
Spokesperson Price said, “As US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, we preserve our position of describing the situation in Xinjiang as genocide, we have not seen anything that will change our assessment. We have not seen anything that the persecution there has ended.” found the assessment.
“In your opinion, are genocide practices still continuing in Xinjiang?” In the form of persistent questions, Price said, “We are behind the sentence we said earlier on this subject.” He was content with giving his answer.
During the previous Donald Trump administration, the United States made a decision to “define what happened in Xinjiang as genocide”, and the Joe Biden administration announced that they would continue this policy in the same way.
The Beijing administration, on the other hand, denies the allegations of the United States.
