Sisi emphasizes Cairo’s determined stance towards Arab solidarity
Egyptian President Abdulfettah al-Sisi expressed his country’s determined stance to support Arab solidarity in preventing threats against other Arab countries and protecting their national security.
Sisi expressed his appreciation for Kuwait’s sincere efforts towards reconciliation at the meeting held by Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser es-Sabah and his Egyptian counterpart, Samih Shukri.

Egyptian Presidency Spokesperson Ambassador Bessam Radi announced that Sheikh Ahmed al-Sabah brought a written message from the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jabir al-Sabah to President Sisi. Emir es-Sabah emphasized in the letter that besides the efforts to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, the government and people of Kuwait are proud of their strong historical ties and close relations both in Egypt and in various regions. He expressed the willingness of the Kuwaiti side to develop cooperation with Egypt at all levels and to periodically consult and coordinate on various issues.
The Kuwait Foreign Minister praised the importance of Egypt’s role in the region as the main pillar for the security and stability of the Arab world, and Egypt’s continuing determination to strengthen solidarity between Arab countries and strengthen joint Arab action.
Sisi conveyed his greetings to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nevaf al-Ahmed al-Jabir al-Sabah, and congratulated the government and people of Kuwait on the occasion of the National Day celebrations. Emphasizing the strength, strength and originality of Egypt-Kuwait relations, Sisi expressed Egypt’s desire to develop close and distinguished cooperation between the two countries at various levels, for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the Arab nation, in an effort to consolidate security, stability and development at the regional level.
Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson explained that the meeting focused on various aspects of bilateral relations and that President Sisi reiterated the link between Gulf security and Egyptian national security and held consultations on developments in the regional arena. In addition, he emphasized that it was decided to intensify joint consultations and coordination between the two brotherly countries in this context in order to counter the situations that threaten the security and stability of Arab countries and their peoples.
