Pelosi announces $ 2.2 trillion support bill
White House Spokesperson Nancy Pelosi announced the Democratic Party’s $ 2.2 trillion bid for the US’s fourth COVID-19 support package, saying that with the offer, the democrats kept their promise in combating the COVID-19 crisis.
In the bill announced by Pelosi, new funding is envisaged for schools, small businesses, restaurants, show venues, airline employees and some other groups adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
In his letter, Pelosi addressed to the democrat representatives, “We have made critical additions and reduced the cost by shortening the period that the bill will be active,” he said.
Pelosi will meet today with US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to discuss his next support package.
