According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the Ministry of Defense made a statement on the issue.
The statement emphasized that the “potentially dangerous” substance found at Holsworthy Barracks had been removed and was not related to the army’s activities.
Sources, who requested anonymity, said uranium was found in a raid on a soldier’s room.
Sources said that the “small amount” of uranium seized in the raid was taken to safety, adding that the soldier had purchased the substance over the internet.
