Patrushev: Traces of the Crocus attack point to US-controlled Ukrainian intelligence

Secretary General of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev stressed that the traces of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall point to Ukrainian intelligence services, but it is common knowledge that the Kiev regime is completely under the control of the United States.

Speaking at the 19th Annual Meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana, Kazakhstan, Patrushev commented on the traces of the Crocus terrorist attack and Ukraine and the West’s focus on terrorist methods.

Patrushev said that the West is trying to impose that the Jrocus attack was carried out not by the Kiev regime, but by adherents of radical Islamic ideology, possibly by the Afghanistan branch of ISIS. “However, it is much more important to quickly identify the instigator and sponsor of this brutal crime. The traces go back to the Ukrainian intelligence services. But everyone knows that the Kiev regime is not independent and is completely controlled by the United States. We must also take into account that Daesh, al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations were created by Washington,” Patrushev said.

Patrushev recalled that the criminals who carried out the mass murder in Crocus and their supporters were caught trying to cross the Russian state border, where Ukraine had opened a ‘window’ for them, and said, “I assure you that wherever they are, all the organizers and sponsors of the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall will be brought to justice.”

‘The format in which the attack will be presented in the Western media was prepared in advance’

Patrushev pointed out that the West started actively defending the thesis that Ukraine had nothing to do with the attack immediately after the attack and emphasized that this attitude is meaningful.

Patrushev underlined that the terrorist attack was well organized and immediately covered in the Western media in a way that would benefit Western countries, and underlined that the West prepared the format in which the news of the attack would be presented in advance.

Pointing out that the US and UK embassies warned their citizens on March 7 that ‘there is a threat of a terrorist attack in Moscow within 48 hours’, Patrushev said that according to eyewitnesses, the attackers visited Crocus City Hall that very day to assess the situation.

‘Kiev and NATO are increasingly resorting to terrorist methods because of their powerlessness’

Patrushev underlined that the Ukrainian Armed Forces and NATO are no longer able to do anything on the battlefield, adding that the enemy, realizing its weakness, is increasingly resorting to terrorist methods.

Noting that the Ukrainian Embassy in Tajikistan is recruiting mercenaries in Dushanbe to fight against Russia, the Russian official emphasized that Kiev and the West are using terrorist groups for geostrategic purposes.
