Stunning statement from the US on the opera house raid that killed 143 people: We warned Russia two weeks ago but...

The US National Security Council announced that it warned Russian security services about the terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk, Russia, which killed 143 people, 15 days before the attack. John Kirby stated that the purpose of the warning was to help prevent the attack.

John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the US National Security Council, announced on March 7 that Russia had been warned about the March 22 terrorist attack, described as the bloodiest terrorist attack in 20 years. Kirby stated that this warning was made in writing to the Russian security services at 11.15 am.

‘RUSSIA’S ALLEGATIONS ARE NONSENSE AND PROPAGANDA’

Kirby called Russia’s linking of Ukrainian nationalists to the attack “nonsense and propaganda” and stressed that only the terrorist organization Daesh was responsible for the attack. He said that the United States was trying to help prevent this terrorist attack and that the Kremlin was aware of this situation.

BLOODY ATTACK IN RUSSIA

In Krasnogorsk, attackers stormed the building where the rock band “Picnic” was giving a concert, opened fire with automatic weapons and set the building on fire with flammable material. As a result of the fire, the roof of the building collapsed and 143 people lost their lives. The Russian Investigative Committee announced that there was evidence of links between the detained terrorists and Ukrainian nationalists and stated that the terrorists received significant amounts of cash and cryptocurrencies from Ukraine.

Stating that the United States has issued “many warnings” about terrorist threats against Russia, Kirby emphasized that the United States never wants innocent lives to be lost in terrorist attacks and that they take their duty to warn seriously.
