Bill Gates explains how artificial intelligence will change the world

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates explained how artificial intelligence will change everyone’s lives in 5 years.

In an interview with CNN, one of the well-known media organizations in the US, Gates stated that new job opportunities will arise in different sectors with the development of artificial intelligence.

IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva said on Monday that artificial intelligence would “exacerbate overall inequality” and that the technology would affect around 40 percent of all jobs worldwide.

Gates pointed out that every revolutionary technology in the history of mankind has created fear at first:

After the developments in agriculture in the 1900s, people said, ‘What are people going to do now?’ In fact, many new job categories have been created and we are much better off than when everyone was farming. It will be the same with AI.

The American billionaire pointed out that artificial intelligence does not require a lot of new hardware and that these technologies will be easily accessible via smartphones and the internet.

Emphasizing that the progress made in OpenAI’s famous chatbot ChatGPT is also very important, Gates said that this artificial intelligence-powered software could soon be able to teach and provide support to the health sector. Microsoft has a partnership of about 10 billion dollars with OpenAI.

“After all, the shortage of doctors and teachers is much more serious in Africa than in the West,” the 68-year-old tech billionaire said, adding that the Gates Foundation aims to ensure that the transition reaches poor countries without delay.

Gates, who has a fortune of 140 billion dollars, stated in an interview that he is not afraid of losing it and said, “I have much more money than I can spend myself.” Gates said that he would use 9 billion dollars a year for different projects and give it to charities, and that he would distribute his entire fortune in 20 years.
