Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, reacted on his social media account to the UK’s signing of a security agreement with Ukraine.
Medvedev stated that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak came to Kiev to sign an agreement with Ukraine and said that Ukraine attacked the city of Belgorod in southern Russia with cluster bombs supplied by Western countries.

Asked how the West would react if the British delegation was exposed to cluster bombs while in Kiev, Medvedev said: “One more thing: I hope that our eternal enemies, the arrogant British, will understand that deploying their official military units in Ukraine would mean a declaration of war on our country.”
Security agreement between Ukraine and the UK
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed a security agreement in Kiev.
According to the Office of the President of Ukraine, the main components of the security commitments to Kyiv are to protect and restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, rebuild its economy, provide comprehensive assistance to protect its citizens, prevent and actively deter and counter any military escalation or new aggression by Russia, and support Ukraine’s future integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions by supporting Ukraine’s reform plans and NATO alignment.
According to the agreement, Ukraine will receive a further £2.5 billion in 2024, contributing to the development of Ukraine’s naval fleet. Support will continue to be provided to Ukraine for the 10 years this agreement is in force.
The agreement provides for cooperation between Ukraine and the UK in cybersecurity, information security, combating information propaganda, combating organized crime, political and other areas.
