Stating that Israeli massacres in Gaza accelerated after the ceasefire, President Erdoğan criticized the structure of the UN. Stating that the United Nations cannot bring peace with this structure, Erdoğan said, “The distorted structure of the United Nations Security Council must be changed.” On the other hand, President Erdoğan said, “2 out of every 3 people martyred in Gaza are children, babies and women. The number of Gazans who have not been heard from has exceeded 6,500.”
“Those who try to pass over the deaths of so many innocents in silence and even legitimize them under the pretext of Hamas no longer have a single word to say to humanity,” Erdoğan said.

I wish that the 39th ministerial session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be auspicious for all humanity. I thank our brothers and sisters who will contribute to our meeting with their valuable ideas. I wholeheartedly greet the Gazans who have been defending their homeland against Israel’s immoral attacks since October 7. As Turkey and the Turkish nation, we are realizing the 100th anniversary of the founding of our republic. The Turkish republic has left behind a century of glory and honor.
We will not stop until we crown this blessed march with the Turkish Century. We will achieve this with you, our brothers and sisters.
‘THE UN CAN’T EVEN PROTECT ITS OWN EMPLOYEES FROM ISRAEL’
More than 16,000 martyrs and 36,000 wounded in Israel’s attacks. Two out of every three people martyred are children, women and babies. The UN, established for global security, cannot even protect its own employees from Israeli barbarism. Israel’s massacre has accelerated, I salute the resisting Gaza.
Western countries give unconditional support to Israel to kill more children. International press organizations cannot utter a single sentence for their murdered colleagues. These were the ones who lectured us on democracy and law for years. Weren’t they the ones who talked about freedom of the press.
‘THE UN INSTITUTIONALLY FAILED THE TEST OF GAZA’
Their gaudy ideologies, declarations and principles have crumbled to the ground. Those who try to gloss over the deaths of so many innocents with the excuse of Hamas have nothing left to say to humanity.
Gaza served as a litmus paper for the global system. What we witnessed showed us the true face of many structures, from western democracies to global corporations. The UN institutionally failed the Gaza test. The resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly with 121 yes votes was a valuable step.
‘THERE ARE 3-5 COUNTRIES THAT GIVE ISRAEL A BLANK CHECK’
It was not effective in stopping the bloodshed. Even this table shows what kind of a squeeze we are in as a Muslim world of 2 billion people. On one side, there are 121 countries that say no bloodshed and on the other side there are 3-5 countries that give a blank check to Israel. It is not possible for such a structure to bring peace or hope to humanity.
None of us have to accept this system. As Muslims, we say that a fairer world is possible. This is also our responsibility towards future generations. In doing so, we will make full use of the means at our disposal.
‘IN RIYADH, WE HAVE PUT FORWARD OUR STANCE ON THE PHILISTINE ISSUE’
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation provides an important ground for us to carry out the struggle with one voice. In Riyadh, we revealed our stance on the Palestinian issue. We took milestone decisions.
We will not let the issue of nuclear weapons, which Israel has admitted to have, be forgotten. Netanyahu, who is now the Butcher of Gaza, will be tried as the Butcher of Gaza, not as a war criminal. We must start preparations for the reconstruction of Gaza now.
‘DEFENDING GAZA MEANS DEFENDING MECCA AND ISTANBUL’
Gaza is Palestinian land, Gaza belongs to the Palestinians and will remain so forever. We all owe it to Israel not to give it up. We must also do this for our own territorial integrity. We do not know very well that tomorrow they will set their eyes on other places. The butcher of Gaza revealed in front of the cameras that this is not about Gaza or Ramallah. Defending Gaza and Palestine means defending Mecca, Medina and Istanbul.
If we wait for the fire, the pain, the wailing to reach our hearth, that fire will one day come to our home.
‘THE EMBODIMENT OF PHILISTINE IS UNDERSTOOD TO BE IMPORTANT’
We will continue our multifaceted efforts for Palestine. The importance of a Palestinian state within the 67 borders has become clear. The path to peace lies through the establishment of a Palestinian state.
There have been over 500 anti-Islamic attacks, including the burning of the Quran. While Islamophobia spreads like a plague in western societies, no measures are taken. Despicable acts are justified under the guise of freedom of thought.
‘WE WILL NOT FALL INTO THE TRAP THEY WANT TO LURE US INTO’
The main aim here is to provoke Muslims and create a Muslim problem like 85 years ago. We will not fall into the trap they want to pull us into. It is important that we act together. We will continue our fight against hate crimes with determination by using international platforms.
