Meta is preparing to launch Threads, Instagram’s text-based social media platform, in EU countries.
Last July, Meta announced Threads, a text-based social media platform that could rival Twitter, the X platform.
The platform reached 100 million users in less than a week after its launch.
UNAVAILABLE DUE TO THE DIGITAL MARKETS LAW
Threads was not available in EU countries due to the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA).
It was reported that the platform’s requirement to log in via Instagram caused problems for Meta and was subject to sanctions by the DMA.
PREPARATION FROM META
Meta is reportedly preparing to launch Threads in Europe.
If the company addresses the DMA’s data privacy concerns, the app will be available in EU countries.
