WhatsApp is Testing the Feature to Report Unnoticed Calls!

You can now share ‘HD photos’ on the popular messaging app WhatsApp.

According to the announcement shared by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on his social media accounts, WhatsApp has released an update that allows HD photo sharing.

The feature, which allows users to share high-resolution photos with friends and family, has been in beta testing.

Attentive users noticed that the option was available in WhatsApp’s Android beta and the TestFlight app on iOS earlier this summer, suggesting that a public launch was imminent.

To access the new feature, you first need to update your app to the latest version.
After updating, you will see a new ‘HD’ option at the top of the photo sharing screen, next to other image editing tools such as rotation and adding text and stickers to the photo.
Tapping the HD button opens a new window that allows you to select the photo quality.
Simply check HD quality for a high-resolution version of the photo.

Now the choice is up to you…

After sending the photo, the recipient will now see the photo labeled HD in the bottom left corner and will be alerted that you have shared a higher quality image. Of course, higher quality images are also covered by WhatsApp end-to-end encryption settings.

By default, ‘Standard Quality’ is selected. We can think of this as a measure to postpone the need to free up storage space on our phone. You can choose to keep the standard version of the photo you receive when your connection quality is poor or when you have storage problems.

WhatsApp, which has been on the agenda frequently with its new features, recently announced AI-supported sticker support. According to the official statement made by the company, HD video support is among the features expected to be available soon.
