World leaders congratulate President Erdoğan on his election success

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the people celebrating after the 2nd round of the presidential election in Kısıklı. “We have completed the second round of the presidential elections with the favor of our nation,” said President Erdoğan and added: “The winner of the May 14 and May 28 elections is all 85 million of our citizens. I had said something else, “We will win in such a way that no one will lose”, so today the winner is only Turkey.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan left his residence in Üsküdar Kısıklı around 20.15. Erdoğan greeted the citizens waiting for him in front of his residence. Erdoğan sang the song Duyanlara Duymayanlara with the citizens.

Greeting the citizens on the bus with his wife Emine Erdoğan, Erdoğan made statements. Erdoğan emphasized that he would deliver his balcony speech from the Külliye.

President Erdoğan said, “I would like to thank everyone who rushed to the polls in Turkey and abroad with particularly high voting rates compared to the 2nd Round. I would like to thank each and every member of our nation who has once again entrusted us with the responsibility of governing the country for the next 5 years. God willing, we will be worthy of your trust. We will be worthy as we have been worthy for 21 years. What I said, we will be together not until the market, but until the grave. World leaders congratulate President Erdoğan on his election success

Leaders of many countries congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his success in the second round of the presidential election.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called President Erdogan by phone and congratulated him on his success in the election and welcomed him to Azerbaijan as soon as possible.

According to a statement released by the Azerbaijani Presidency, Aliyev said that he considers President Erdogan’s “victory” as an indicator of the confidence of the Turkish people in Erdogan’s policies and expressed confidence that Turkey’s comprehensive development under Erdogan’s leadership will continue in the coming years.

Aliyev wished Erdogan new success in his activities for the welfare of the Turkish nation and the development of the country.

Russia
According to a written statement released by the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message to President Erdoğan on the occasion of his success in the elections.

In his message, Putin pointed out that this success is a natural result of Erdogan’s selfless work as President of Turkey and said, “Your victory is a clear demonstration of the support of the Turkish people for your efforts to strengthen state sovereignty and pursue an independent foreign policy.

Putin thanked President Erdoğan for his personal contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkey and Russia and said, “I would like to reaffirm our readiness to continue our constructive dialogue on topical issues of bilateral, regional and international agenda.”

Putin said that they also attach importance to the consistent implementation of planned joint projects, in particular the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant and the creation of a natural gas hub in Turkey.

Congratulating President Erdogan on his success in the election, Putin said: “Dear friend, please accept my sincere congratulations on your re-election as President. I wish you success in your responsible work as head of state, health and prosperity.”

Qatar
In a post on his social media account, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Temim bin Hamed Al Thani said, “I congratulate my dear brother Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his victory. I wish you success in your new term. I wish you to realize the aspirations of the brotherly Turkish people for development and prosperity during this period, to develop the strong relations between our countries and to result in further development.”

TRNC
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Ersin Tatar, at a press conference held at the Presidency, stated that Erdoğan’s success is important for the stability in the TRNC and the Eastern Mediterranean and said, “The success of Mr. Erdoğan after the elections held in the motherland Turkey has also been the confirmation of the two-state politics in the TRNC.”

Tatar wished that the “Turkish Century” with the election success of President Erdogan would be auspicious for the Turkish nation and expressed his happiness that the election was held with great maturity.

Stating that the TRNC will move towards a more prosperous future in the Eastern Mediterranean together with Motherland Turkey, Tatar said:

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, in a statement to journalists, wished the elections held in Turkey to be auspicious and said, “It was important for us that Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan won for a strong and stable Turkey.”

Üstel wished President Erdoğan success in the new term and hoped that the election results would be beneficial for the Turkish nation.

Pakistan
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Twitter that President Erdoğan is one of the few leaders in the world who has linked politics to public service, adding that Erdoğan is a pillar of strength for oppressed Muslims and an enthusiastic voice for their inalienable rights.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also congratulated President Erdoğan on Twitter in English and Turkish.

“Congratulations President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his undisputed election victory,” Orban said.

Libya
In a congratulatory message published on the official Facebook page “Hukumetina” of the Libyan Prime Ministry, the Prime Minister of the Libyan National Unity Government, Abdulhamid Dibeybe, said: “I congratulate my brother, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on winning the presidential elections for another term. The Turkish people have renewed their trust in Erdogan and the success of his projects.”

Algeria
In his congratulatory message, Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebbun began with the words “Mr. President and Dear Brother” and added: “We welcome with satisfaction and joy the renewal of the trust of the brotherly Turkish people in your beloved person and we offer you our congratulations on my own behalf and on behalf of the Algerian people.”

Serbia
In his congratulatory message, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic congratulated Erdogan on his election victory and said, “On behalf of myself and the people of Serbia, I sincerely congratulate you on your re-election as president. I am sure that you will work for the development of your country and the good of your people in this period.”

Uzbekistan
Congratulating President Erdogan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the high voter turnout and the results of the second round of voting are a clear indication that the friendly Turkish people support the policies and reform program pursued by the incumbent President.

Hungary
Hungarian President Katalin Novak congratulated President Erdoğan in English and Turkish.

“Congratulations to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as President of Turkey,” Novak said on Twitter.

“I look forward to working to strengthen cooperation between Hungary and Turkey,” Novak said, emphasizing that Turkey’s stability is very valuable for Europe and will play a crucial role in achieving peace in Ukraine.

Novak also shared “Congratulations, Mr. President” in Turkish.

Bosnian Serb leader Dodik also congratulated Erdoğan in English and Serbian on Twitter.

Stating that he congratulated President Erdoğan for his “historic victory”, Dodik wrote: “The voters have again chosen you as their leader. This decision of the voters is important not only for Turkey but also for the world. Congratulations.”

Venezuela
In a post on his Twitter account, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro congratulated President Erdogan on his election victory, saying, “Venezuela celebrates the victory of our brother and friend. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the winner of the Turkish presidential and parliamentary elections. We congratulate the Turkish people on this victory. We wish to continue working together to build the new world. Long live Turkey!”

In his post, Maduro included a photo of President Erdoğan at the Hagia Sophia-i Kebir Mosque and voting at the polling station.

Iran
Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi sent a congratulatory message to Erdogan for his victory in the presidential elections.

Reisi stated that the election results “are a sign of the Turkish people’s continued trust in Erdogan” and that Turkey and Iran’s friendly relations based on historical, cultural and religious ties as well as good neighborly relations, mutual respect and common interests of the two nations will strengthen more than ever in this period.

Reisi said that close cooperation between the two countries on the developments in the region and the Islamic world will provide more favorable conditions for strengthening peace and stability in the region.

Palestine
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Mohammad Ishtiyya, Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Heniyye, Vice President of the Islamic Movement for Palestine 1948 and Chairman of the Freedom Committee Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib and Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam Khatib Sheikh Ikrime Sabri congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his election success.

In a written statement, Palestinian President Abbas sent his “brotherly congratulations” to the Turkish people and the President as “the Palestinian people and the Palestinian State Presidency” and said, “We are sure that, God willing, you will continue on the path of development and achieve great success for Turkey and its brotherly people.”

Abbas expressed his “pride in the historical, fraternal ties and solidarity of the peoples of Turkey and Palestine on this occasion.”

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Ishtiyya also congratulated President Erdoğan on his election success in a statement to AA correspondent.

“What happened in Turkey is a serious and real feast of democracy. This democracy is a real achievement for Palestine. This success is a result of the achievements made on the path of Turkey’s development.”

Noting that the friendship between Palestine and Turkey has been further strengthened under President Erdoğan, Ishtiyya said that he wished the Turkish people prosperity, development and well-being.

Hamas also congratulated President Erdoğan in a written statement.

“Hamas congratulates President Erdogan for winning the elections and restoring the confidence of the Turkish people, and the Turkish people for the feast of democracy,” the statement said.

The statement hoped that “President Erdogan’s historic success will pave the way for strengthening Turkey’s relations with Arab and Islamic countries and its regional and international position.”

Hamas Political Bureau Head Ismail Heniyye said in a written statement, “I congratulate President Erdogan on winning the elections and appreciate the civilized position of the Turkish people.”

Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib, Vice President of the Palestinian 1948 Islamic Movement and Chairman of the Freedom Committee, posted on his Twitter account.

Hatib noted the following:

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani also tagged President Erdoğan on his Twitter account and wrote in Turkish: “May the partnership between Kosovo and Turkey continue to be updated.”

Osmani said: “Heartfelt congratulations to President Erdoğan for his victory today. I look forward to working together to enhance our excellent cooperation as you continue to lead Turkey to new achievements.”

Iraq
In a post on his Twitter account, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed Halbusi said, “We congratulate the neighboring country and brotherly nation, the Turkish nation, for the success of the democracy experience in Turkey.”

Halbusi continued his message as follows:

“I congratulate President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as President of the Republic of Turkey. I wish both countries, Iraq and Turkey, to cooperate in many fields, and I wish continued development and progress for Turkey.”

Hasan Turan, President of the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITC), shared on his Twitter account, “The presidential elections were held in a calm and democratic manner befitting Turkey.”

Turan wished that the election result would be auspicious for the Turkish and Islamic world, especially Turkey, and said, “On behalf of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Iraqi Turks and myself, I congratulate Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was elected as the 13th President.”

Turkmen Minister Marouf said:

In a post on his Twitter account, Hamis Hançer, President of the Sunni As-Siyade Coalition in the Iraqi Parliament, said, “I congratulate the brotherly Turkish nation on the successful conclusion of a democratic experience in Turkey. I congratulate my brother Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the members of his Justice and Development Party. Victory belongs to you and frustration belongs to your enemies.”

Kirkuk Governor Rakan Said also congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a written statement.
