Ortega, 20, recently discussed her friendship with Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler during an appearance on Wired’s “Autocomplete Interview” series.

The actress said, “She was someone I instantly hit it off with. We did a movie a couple years ago called The Fallout, and I feel like Maddie and I are the same person in different fonts.”

The Scream actor continued:

“She’s a very strange person and I’m a strange person, having autopsied small animals as a child. Little lizards I found dead in my backyard. He’s weird in the way that he gets into characters or makes movements and faces.”

Ortega, who stars opposite Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti in Netflix’s hit series You, went on to praise Ziegler’s “comedic timing,” saying they “had a good time” and “were really weird together.”

Wednesday Addams, played by Ortega in Tim Burton’s recently released series, enrolls in a supernatural boarding school full of mysteries.

Wednesday is available to stream on Netflix.
