Heavy rains in Pakistan have killed 22 people, including women and children, in the last one day
According to the reports in the national press, the ongoing monsoon rains across the country have negatively affected life.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir region, 10 people, including women and children, were killed when the roof of a house collapsed.
In various parts of Khyber Pahtunhva province, 12 people were killed in accidents caused by heavy rains.
Balochistan affected the most
Balochistan province was the hardest hit by heavy rains. Across the province, 10,129 houses were damaged and 3,406 houses were completely destroyed.
While 16 bridges and 640 kilometers of roads were damaged due to the rains, over 20 thousand livestock perished.
Prime Minister’s second visit to the region
Cracks appeared in 7 dams in the province.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, accompanied by a delegation, visited Balochistan for the second time in a week and made inspections.
The death toll in the rains that have been effective in the country since June has risen to 457.
