Gmail's redesign will be available by default

In December of last year, we told you about the addition of voice and video calling feature to the Gmail application. Gmail, one of the most popular e-mail services of today, is here this time with the design change of the desktop version.

Gmail's redesign will be available by default

To remind you, Google announced a new design for the desktop version of Gmail last January. The new design brought by Google was presented to users in recent months, depending on the preference of users. Gmail users who wanted to use the new design could activate the design from within the settings.

According to the information we have obtained today, Gmail’s new design is offered to all users by default. According to the information provided by Google, the new design will be available for both Google Workspace users and individual users of Gmail.

The most important parts of Gmail’s new design are the new areas for Chat, Spaces and Meet services. You can see Chat, Spaces and Meet tabs under the e-mail on the left side of the new design. Let’s add that these tabs can be turned off according to the information provided by Google.

Gmail, which offers an option in the settings, allows you to disable the services you do not use. The “Material You” design approach that we encounter with the Android operating system comes to Gmail with the new design. In addition to the design change, let’s add that a new RSVP feature is available for the Meet service.

The new feature allows you to see the RSVP status of all participants on the meeting screen and use the Chat section to communicate with people who have accepted the invitation but have not yet joined the meeting.
