Eurozone PPI rose sharply in October
Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Euro Zone increased by 21.9 percent in October compared to the same period of the previous year.
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published the October PPI data of the European Union (EU) and Eurozone.
Accordingly, the PPI in the EU increased by 5 percent in October compared to the previous month and by 21.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the Euro Zone, PPI increased by 5.4 percent in October compared to the previous month and by 21.9 percent compared to October of 2020.
Compared to the previous month, PPI increased by 11.2 percent in Belgium, 9.4 percent in Italy and 8.6 percent in Romania in October compared to the previous month.
Among EU countries, PPI increased the most in Ireland with 89.9 percent, Denmark with 39.8 percent and Belgium with 34.5 percent on an annual basis in October.
In the said period, annual PPI in EU countries increased by 59.8 percent in the energy sector, 17.1 percent in intermediate goods and 4.6 percent in durable consumer goods.
