Suleiman I (Ottoman Turkish: سلطان سليمان اول, Sultan Süleyman-ı Evvel; 6 November 1494, Trabzon – 7 September 1566, Zigetvar), the tenth sultan of the Ottoman Empire and 89th Islamic caliph. From 1520 to his death in 1566, Suleiman I, who served as a sultan for about 46 years and went on 13 expeditions, spent a total of 10 years and 1 month of his reign. So Solomon became the Ottoman Sultan who served for the longest time, went on the most expeditions and made the longest expedition.

Suleiman I came to the throne in 1520 after the death of his father Selim I. In the west, Belgrade added Rhodes, Boğdan and much of Hungary to the imperial territory. Although it surrounded Vienna in 1529, this siege failed for various reasons. In the east, after the wars with the Safavids, he seized much of the Middle East.

 

While the borders of the empire extend to Algeria in Africa; The Ottoman Navy had dominated the waters from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. [5] He took over the Ottoman Empire, which he took over 6.557.000 km2 from Selim I, to 14.893.000 km2 during his sultanate.  He died on September 7, 1566, one day before the end of the Zigetvar Siege, and his son II. Selim passed.
