Rishk made a written statement on the issue.
“The US administration violates (the students’) individual rights and the right of expression for rejecting the genocide committed by neo-Nazi Zionists in the Gaza Strip,” Rishk said in a statement, adding that “the US police detained university students and faculty members without regard to the moral values they represent.”
“Today’s students are the leaders of the future, and their suppression today means an expensive electoral bill that the Biden administration will pay sooner or later,” Rishk said, adding that US President Joe Biden’s administration is a partner in the brutal attacks against the Palestinian people.
The pro-Palestinian protests between Columbia University administration and students, which began last week and led to hundreds of arrests, have spread to other universities across the country.
