World-renowned Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli passed away in Florence at the age of 83. The funeral was held at San Miniato al Monte in his hometown of Florence.

Known for his bold designs and luxurious style, Cavalli was born in 1930 and studied fashion in Milan. He founded his own label in the 1960s and quickly gained international fame.

Cavalli’s leopard prints, leather clothes and sexy silhouettes have become iconic. Many celebrities, including Hollywood stars and royalty, have favored Cavalli designs.

Cavalli was not only a fashion designer but also a successful businessman. His company, the Cavalli Group, owned many stores and hotels around the world.

In 2018, Cavalli sold his company to a Qatari investor and retired.
