Russia: “Bayraktar Plant will be a legitimate target.”

Dmitriy Belik, a member of the Russian Parliament’s International Affairs Committee, said on the Lenta website that the Turkish company Bayraktar will build a factory for the production of UCAVs in Kiev, which will become a “legitimate target” for Moscow.

The Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI UAV production factory, built by Baykar in Ukraine with an investment of 95.5 million dollars, will start production in 2025.

Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar announced that the factory to be built in Ukraine will be opened in 2025. The factory, which is currently under construction, will be built with an investment of 95.5 million dollars. This facility will operate under the roof of LLC Avia Ventures, Baykar’s company in Ukraine.

In February 2022, Turkey and Ukraine signed a cooperation agreement on cooperation in the aerospace industry. According to the agreement, Ukraine will provide tax and customs incentives to Turkish investors until January 2035.
