Following feedback from users, the company withdrew the update from both the developer centre and over-the-air. This means that this iPhone update can no longer be downloaded and installed.
According to the notification of iPhone users, this problem occurred on iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models with Back Tap feature enabled. iOS 17.3 beta update was also withdrawn due to the bootloop problem.
The Back Tap feature allows users to perform some actions by tapping the back panel of their phones two or three times. Users have the chance to disable this feature according to their wishes.
Users with the feature turned on are having problems because of this. However, after disabling this feature, they stated that they had no problems installing the update. These errors even prevent users from accessing their iPhones. Apple is expected to release an update as a solution to the problem.
