The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the United States is planning a provocation in Ukraine using toxic chemicals.

The ministry said in a statement that the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council within NATO plans to supply Ukraine with large quantities of personal protective equipment as an antidote for organophosphorus toxic substances such as sarin and soman.
The announcement follows the Kremlin’s initial reaction to China’s plan for peace in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a news conference yesterday that the peace plan, which calls on both sides to agree on a gradual de-escalation of tensions and warns against the use of nuclear weapons, should be analyzed in detail, taking into account the interests of all sides.
“We attach great importance to the plan of our Chinese friends. This is a very long and intensive process.”
Peskov also objected to the latest package of European sanctions against Russia and responded to a question about new sanctions targeting 121 individuals and organizations.
Peskov said, “All this is, of course, nonsense. Western countries are struggling to find more people and organizations to sanction. This explains the illogical listing of individuals and entities. We are talking about successful people, and for them, being on the sanctions lists will not cause any inconvenience,” Peskov said.
