It was stated that Musk’s participation in the summit by candlelight was due to technical problems. In his statement, Musk said, “The power went out 3 minutes before this call started. Accept my apology,” he said.

Musk gave a 20-minute speech about the ‘future disruptions of global technology innovation’ at the G-20 Summit in Bali. In the speech, Musk chose to wear an Indonesian green shirt he received as a gift from the organizers of the G20 Summit, which he could not attend.

The virtual meeting was dominated by Twitter and Tesla’s effort to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles. Pointing out that it is not possible to please everyone, Musk said, “I’m doing the best I can. Seven days a week from morning to night. I don’t recommend it. Look at this video sitting in the dark surrounded by candles. Very strange,” he said.
