Though a meeting with Harry is “unlikely,” Prince William will travel to New York for the Earthshot Prize Summit

When Prince William visits New York City next month to attend the Earthshot Price innovation event, it is “very improbable” that he would run across his brother Prince Harry, according to royal analysts.

In preparation for the awards being held in the US this year, the Duke of Cambridge will travel alone to the east coast on September 21. This will be his first trip to the country since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to California.

After the first ceremony, which took place at London’s Alexandra Palace last year, the second Earthshot Prize awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Boston in December.

The Earthshot Prize Global Alliance network, heads of state, prominent corporate figures, and philanthropists will attend the meeting in September, where The Duke of Cambridge will give a speech.

The conference intends to raise awareness of The Earthshot Prize’s demand to accelerate efforts to repair the planet, particularly in light of the global temperature rise and lack of rainfall this summer.

Prince William is anticipated to spend a few days in New York City to promote climate change innovation.

The two are not anticipated to meet, however, as the chasm between them shows no indications of improving, despite the fact that he traveled across the ocean and reduced the physical distance between him and his brother.

The likelihood of a meeting in New York is “very remote,” according to royal analyst Richard Fitzwilliams.

Given how unpredictable the Sussexes have proven to be and how destructive some of their activities have been to the royal family, he said, “William, who was openly shocked by the Sussexes interview on Oprah, is unlikely to be in communication with Harry whilst in New York.”

Any public reunion runs the risk of overshadowing the occasion, which the Duke of Cambridge “would not let happen,” according to Mr. Fitzwilliams.

The Evening Standard’s royal editor, Robert Jobson, concurred that a meeting between William and Harry in New York is “extremely unlikely.”

He claimed that since reaching the summit is the only goal of the journey, the heir apparent will be concentrating on it.

He will be on the other side of the US and is there for a specific reason, the expert stated. William is on an important business trip, so I know he will be paying attention to that.

The Sussex family lives in California, nearly 3,000 miles from New York, so distance may play a role.

The brothers will have another ideal chance to mend their strained relationship in September when Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle visit the UK to attend a series of charitable events.

However, Mr. Fitzwilliams does not think that William and Harry have any plans to get together on August 31—despite the fact that it has been 25 years since their mother passed very tragically in a vehicle accident.

He remarked, “The split with Harry continues to be a sad aspect of royal life.”

Prior to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family in January 2020, the brotherly connection had already begun to disintegrate.

Since then, things have only gotten worse, especially following the couple’s shocking Oprah Winfrey interview in which Prince Harry said he felt “stuck” as a working royal and that his father, Prince Charles, had “truly let him down.”

Since then, they have only had a few public encounters, including the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh in April 2021, the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue three months later, and the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.
