Apple will start showing ads on iPhone!

The era of ads on iPhone apps may be starting. Apple is rumored to buy ads for its own apps.

Apple may be preparing to embed ads in its apps on iPhone and iPad. According to Bloomberg’s latest report, the tech giant wants to show ads in apps that are pre-installed on its devices, such as Maps, Books and Podcasts.

Ads coming to Apple apps

A new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has Apple users up in arms. Apple, which displays ads in the form of “recommended apps” in the App Store, will implement a similar strategy in its other apps. For example, when you search for restaurants in the Maps app, businesses that advertise with Apple will appear at the top of the search.

Gurman also said that for now, Apple will not place personalized ads in various parts of iOS, such as the Settings section. This is an advertising policy that has been used by Xiaomi for years as MIUI ads.

It is not possible to say that the ads shown in the App Store disturb users. For example, a user who searches for ‘photo editing’ will see apps that pay Apple for advertising at the top of the search results.

Currently, there are no ads in iPhone applications, especially Maps. Apple wants to capitalize on this, and fears that the ad phrase may cause confusion. Therefore, it will place a section such as “Ads” on the content to be featured.

It is thought that an ad-supported subscription may also be tested for the Apple TV Plus service. While rival platforms such as Disney+ and Netflix are working on ad-supported subscriptions, Apple is expected to offer a low-priced ad-supported option.
