“Kalibr missiles destroyed the military infrastructure in the port of Odessa,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, adding that the attack yesterday was carried out by Russia.
Russia claimed responsibility for yesterday’s missile attack on the Ukrainian port of Odessa. “Kalibr missiles destroyed the military infrastructure in the port of Odessa,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement.
“This only proves one thing; no matter what Russia says, no matter what it promises, it will find ways not to implement it,” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in a statement about the attack on the port of Odessa by the Russian military following the grain shipment agreement signed with Russia.
AGREEMENT ON GRAIN SHIPMENTS HAD BEEN SIGNED
Under the leadership of Turkey, Ukraine and Russia signed an agreement at the United Nations (UN) on the shipment of grain from Ukraine. While the landmark agreement is seen as important for preventing the rise in global food prices and solving the global food crisis, it paves the way for Ukrainian grain to be offered to the world market again through the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzny. Under the agreement, which is expected to be fully operational in a few weeks, Russia will not target the ports during shipments.
