A first in the Ukrainian war: Missile attack on Russian base!

The eyes and ears of the world have been watching the news coming out of Ukraine for months.

After failing to overthrow the capital Kiev, the Russian army has set its target as Donbas and its advance continues.

Although Ukraine claims that the retreat is tactical, it is being voiced louder that the wind is slowly turning in Moscow’s favor in the war.

While the advance of Russian troops continues, a flash claim came from the Ukrainian front.

Using HIMARS missiles sent by the US, Ukraine announced that it hit the Russian base.

USED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN WAR

According to the British Daily Mail newspaper, this is the first time this weapon has been used in such a large operation in the war.

Ukraine announced that it had struck a base near the city of Izyum in Donbas, killing 40 Russian soldiers in the attack.

RUSSIA’S JET-FAST ANNOUNCEMENT

Shortly after Ukraine’s announcement, Russia made a statement on the issue.

Moscow confirmed the missile attack but claimed that it hit a civilian hospital.

The Russian statement did not include any information about the Russian soldiers who lost their lives.

IMAGES EMERGED

Images of the attack appeared on social media. Damaged vehicles bearing the ‘Z’ symbol were seen in the footage.

In the footage, the surrounding buildings were also damaged by the impact of the explosion.

RUSSIA STILL DOES NOT ANNOUNCE ITS CASUALTIES

Ukraine claims that nearly 25,000 Russian soldiers have survived the months-long war.

Russia, on the other hand, has refused to disclose military casualties for months. Moscow made its first and last official statement on the issue on March 2.

In the statement in question, Russia’s military loss in the war was announced as 498. This data has not been updated since then.

MORE THAN 300 OFFICERS KILLED

While the Russian government rarely provides updates on the number of deaths suffered by its armed forces, announcements by local authorities and newspapers suggest that more than 300 officers have died in combat.

Russia faced a similar military crisis when it invaded Afghanistan. Soviet troops were first sent to the region on December 24, 1979 on the orders of Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev, and nearly 15,000 Soviet soldiers were killed in the 10-year war.
