The young man who was attacked by the tiger he was babysitting in Mexico died in the hospital where he was being treated.
In the city of Periban in the Mexican state of Michoacan on June 11, 23-year-old Jose de Jesus, a caretaker at a private ranch, was attacked by a tiger on the ranch. Jesus, who was seriously injured in his hand and arm as a result of the attack, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
It was reported that Jesus, who was under treatment and in critical condition, refused the doctors’ offer of arm amputation and died yesterday in the hospital where he was being treated for diabetes.
While Jesus’ relatives claimed that there was a lion and a crocodile in addition to the tiger in the farm where the incident took place, it was reported that the authorities started an investigation into whether there were sufficient permits for the care of wild animals in the farm and whether the animals were brought into the country legally.
