Apple has mandated the use of masks for WWDC 2022!
Technology giant Apple has made the use of masks optional for WWDC 2022. The company has now changed its mind to require all physical participants to wear N95 masks. It also asked them to take an FDA-approved COVID-19 test done the day before and with a negative result. Apple’s official website had previously published the rules for WWDC 2022, stating that a test result made three days in advance and with a negative result would suffice.

Apple also announced that people attending should heed the latest guidelines from public health officials. There have been rumors abroad that the conference would be cancelled due to the recent increase in cases. However, with Apple’s new rules announced for WWDC, it was revealed that strict measures were taken instead of any cancellation at the event. The company said there will be hand sanitizer stations at the event and that all surfaces will be cleaned continuously.

The tech giant will introduce iOS 16, watchOS9, iPadOS 16 and MacOS 13 at the WWDC 2022 event. iOS 16 will come to iPhone devices in July. The company is expected to introduce two additional MacBooks, but this issue is still unclear.
