Pope accepts resignation of bishop of Paris, whose affair with a woman was exposed
In the statement made by the French Bishops Conference (CEF); The Vatican Embassy in Paris reportedly accepted Pope Francis’ resignation from Aupetit.

In a statement after his resignation was accepted, Aupetit said, “(Due to the incident) the attacks I was exposed to, of course, shook me. I apologize to the people I hurt.” said.
In the news published in the French press on November 22, it was stated that Aupetit had an affair with a woman in 2012. Thereupon, Aupetit submitted his letter of resignation to the Pope on 26 November.
In a statement on November 26, Aupetit admitted that he had a “weird” relationship with a woman, but denied the allegations that he had sexual intercourse with this woman.
