Britain waits for the third wave despite success of vaccination process

Professor Chris Whitty, the UK government’s chief health advisor, warned that despite the success of the vaccination process against the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19), the country will face a third wave and deaths from coronavirus may increase.

According to Reuters, Professor Whitty warned in a speech today to the Science and Technology Committee of the House of Commons that a third wave may occur, “All modeling suggests a further increase. The virus will find people who haven’t been vaccinated or the vaccine hasn’t worked. Some will go to the hospital and unfortunately some will continue to die. As a result of vaccination, the mortality rate will decrease, but unfortunately it will not decrease to zero ”.

Professor Whitty also said, “The cautious attitude in reopening the economy will affect the size and timing of the increase in cases, but vaccines will not prevent all deaths from the disease.”
