President Erdogan and Iranian President Rouhani meet on the phone
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a phone call with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
According to a statement from the Presidential Communication Presidency of the interview, economy, transportation, security and other areas of steps to improve the Turkey-Iran cooperation and regional developments were discussed.
President Erdogan at the meeting, will for the strengthening of Turkey-Iran relations reported that they kept.
Stating that they wish the new US administration to abandon unilateral sanctions against Iran and remove unjust obstacles to the welfare of the Iranian people, President Erdoğan said that the statements made on the issue in the last few days have opened a new window of opportunity.
President Erdoğan stated that it is the most reasonable course of action for all parties to meet at the point of making the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan operational again and it is important to keep the door of dialogue open despite all difficulties.
