Victor Hugo, one of the famous names of French literature, was born on February 26, 1802 in France.

His father is one of Napoleon’s officers. After Napoleon came down from the throne, they started to have a livelihood. Victor Hugo, who lost his mother in 1821, married Adele Foucher the following year, his great love.

Victor Hugo was disturbed in 1878 due to a problem with his brain. He died 7 years later in 1885.

Victor Hugo, the leader of the romanticism movement, is a master of prose and poetry. He influenced many poets and writers who came after him. He influenced many literati such as Charles Dickens, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Oscar Wilde, Albert Camus, Tolstoy. He has written works in novel, theater and poetry.

Victor Hugo had a very strong technique. He wrote French poetry with great harmony. His novels are similar to their poems in terms of language. He passed Balzac and Dumas with this aspect. He was an unlimited writer with inspiration.

With his play Hernani, he started a war between the advocates of romance and classicism. There were romantics who won this war. Victor Hugo, who was originally known as a poet, proved to be a great novelist with his novel entitled Kamburu of Notre Dame.

His work, which introduced Victor Hugo worldwide, has undoubtedly been his novel “Les Miserables”. He also talked about political and social events like maritime workers.
